Happy birthday, Robert!

Today there's another birthday in the family - Robert's is 65! And you know what that means - cake, candles, cards and....MEDICARE! It's a pretty big deal. We've been planning Robert's entry into the world of Medicare for almost a year. Not only has Robert been inundated with mail from every Medicare supplement company in the country, but I've spent months working on getting him removed from our Blue Cross health insurance, which was harder than you might think - aaugh! Anyway, Robert chose AvMed to sign up with for Medicare and so far that part has gone fine. He'll get better coverage than he had with Blue Cross and he even gets a free membership to the YMCA.

Here we are re-creating a photo with Robert's birthday cake and cards. We took some liberties with the original photo, but after all, it's his birthday.

Here's the original photo. Happy birthday, Robert! Many happy returns!

Happy birthday and many happy recreations :-)

Interesting about Medicare. I HATE BC-BS, can't even get them to pay for my flu shot or shingles vaccine. You go, Robert!!

Happy Birthday Robert and welcome to Medicare. Aaahhh.
You all look so much happier than the other couple. You can tell what is real "happy" and what is paid for.

Happy Birthday Robert. You do look
great, and what a great cake. When you come to visit, I'll have another cake for you. And happy Medicare - I think you made a good choice with Avmed - I've been very pleased with them. Just stay well!!

Whoo hoo, 65!!! I actually thought she got those numbers mixed up at first, and I'm still not convinced you could possibly be older than 56. Does this mean I'm almost 35? Oy vey, how did that happen???

Enjoy your membership to the Y. I'm a little jealous that you can just walk across the street to get there!
