Hobbies for retirees

Today's photo comes from an article called Hobbies for Retirees, which says: "There are a number of relaxing and exciting hobbies for retirees to pursue. These are the hobbies that you might have only dreamed about doing during your younger years, and now with the additional time on your hands you can finally pursue them."

Yes indeed. Here we are at Hollywood Beach re-creating the photo from the article, happily pursuing our retirement hobby of pointing.

Here's the original photo. The article also says, "As a retiree, you are making your own rules about how you want life to be. Choose hobbies that improve your quality of life and take up the motto of 'if it's not fun, what's the point?'" Ha ha, my point exactly!

Excellent post! Did you rent a room on the beach for this shot?

Thanks, Amber! No, we didn't rent a room - we took the picture at the top of the Observation Tower at North Beach Park.

I was taught it's impolite to point. I guess we can get away with stuff when we're old. ;)

Still laughing about the "pointing" hobby. Good idea and no equipment to buy. Think I could do that.
Great job again.

I'm also looking forward to many happy years pointing :-)

Another creative shot, LOL!

Have you considered doing some blogs about why retirees should move to Hollywood, FL? Perhaps some restaurants & local retailers might give you some freebies in exchange for a few comments about them. You could also post on Facebook.

That's a good lesson for all of us! If it's not fun...what's the point?!?
