A picnic

May is a great time of year for retirees in South Florida. The weather is beautiful, the snowbirds have gone home, the kids are still in school for another month, and we've pretty much got the place to ourselves. So what should we do? Go on a picnic, of course!

Here we are re-creating a picnic photo at West Lake Park in Hollywood.

And here's the original photo. This is actually a very special photo, because it's from LiveStrong, and our daughter Amber just happens to work for LiveStrong at their headquarters in Austin, Texas. If you're not familiar with LiveStrong, it's a non-profit organization that does great work helping people who are living with cancer and teaching all of us how to live a healthier life. Amber works hard and does a great job there, and Robert and I are very proud of her.

As a survivor I had to check out the site. Yes you can be proud of your daughter.
Another great recreate--hope the basket was full of goodies.

Am I correct that your re-creation is exact in every detail except in the original that is a bottle of water, but for your picnic, a bottle of wine? As always, yours is an improvement over the original :-)

Thanks, Veronica! I'm not sure what the bottle in the original photo is, but in our re-creation it's a bottle of Blue Moon Summer Honey Wheat Ale.
