If you look closely in the lower right hand corner of today's photo, you'll see there's a wrapped present. I totally missed it the first time I saw it and thought the only props I needed were a handsome husband, a picnic basket and a flower. Then I noticed something colorful in the corner. I took a closer look and realized it was a present! Of course, I was immediately curious. Who is the present for? Is it a birthday present? A Christmas present? Are they dating and he's about to propose? It's a mystery!
nnnnnnnnn Here I am with Robert re-creating the photo at TY Park this afternoon.
And here's the original photo, from the website of a retirement community in Englewood, Colorado. The website offers no clues about the present, so obviously it's up to us to solve the mystery. What do you think? Is the present for him? For her? What is it? Am I wrong and it's not a present at all? And as long as we're at it, what's in the picnic basket?

A dog biscuit, of course!
Signed, Joey
P.S. You two look so much more at ease and comfortable than the original couple. And, as usual, such good attention to detail - both the wrapped present and the exact flower. Where is TY Park?
Another cute photo where you both look so happy. What was in your basket?
I speculate that the original photo included a birthday gift for the lady, who also received a flower.
Now that is the perfect picture of a couple in love and enjoying each other. Of course I am talking about your picture.
I want to know what was in your present.
As for the lunch--A Jug of Wine, a Loaf of Bread-and Thou.
Molly,
TY Park, which is short for Topeekeegee Yugnee Park (Seminole for "the gathering place") is about a mile north of us. Joey says thanks for the biscuit idea, though his favorite treats are actually Chickadees, the Target brand of Goldfish.
Robin,
I'd have to say your theory is the most likely one. Well, there was nothing in our picnic basket when we took the picture, but we did use it to carry things to and from the car.
Arkansas Patti,
Excellent lunch suggestion! If you really want to know, our present contained a couple of old facecloths. I was afraid if it just had air in it, it might not look like a real present.
I think there was a nice bottle of wine wrapped up, and it's just some of the wrapping leftover on the ground.
Or, perhaps it's really just wrapped facecloths in both photos.
Amber,
Now that I look at it, it DOES look like maybe the present has been opened and that's just wrapping paper lying on the ground. Ha! Well, either way, facecloths always come in handy.
I would like to think there is a bottle o' vino, a baguette, chocolate and cheese in that basket!
