Props

I'm always fascinated by the props in retirement photos. For instance, in today's photo, there's one prop - an apple. In order to do the best job I can in re-creating the photos, I always try to understand why the props are there. Usually it's easy, but today I'm not so sure.

Here we are re-creating today's photo, and as you can see, I'm holding the apple. The question is - why am I holding it? Did it fall out of an apple tree and I picked it up? Am I hypoglycemic and I carry an apple with me everywhere? Is it to throw at wild animals if one attacks? Is it some kind of new Apple cell phone?

nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnHere's the original photo. What do you think?

I think they're just getting up from a picnic, where random fruit was scattered around and she just couldn't finish it all, so she's bringing the apple back home.

I think the apple is a new iApple cellphone model. Did you try talking to it, LOL!

OK, I think Amber's theory is correct, unless they are strolling in an apple orchard.

Joey thought it was a throw-and-fetch toy?

Sir Isaac Newton was up in the tree?

(As a kid I always thought Fig Newtons were named after Sir Isaac...alas, just after Newton, Massachusetts.)

I kind of like Amber's theory. A picnic left over.

If you drop an apple and a fig newton from the same height and at the same time, do they fall at the same rate? Hmm. I bet the fig newton would still be good to eat.
