We had a great visit with Robert's sister Sally. Joey was especially happy to see her and loved having her here. But all visits must come to an end, and now that Sally is gone, Joey really misses her. Ever since she left, he's been lying in front of the guest bed with a sad look on his face. So, to cheer him up, we decided to let him be in a blog post.
Here I am re-creating a photo with Joey. Yep, it did the trick! I picked a photo that matched his moping mode, but as you can see, when the camera came out he perked right up. Joey loves to pose!
Here's the original photo. If Joey goes back to moping, we'll just tell him that maybe Sally will come back sometime. We hope she does.

Glad to see Joey so happy - the other dog does not look happy.
Perhaps Joey can read and the other dog cannot? I would be unhappy too if I couldn't read books.
Joey likes Sergeant Preston of the Yukon stories. Maybe even Rin Tin Tin. But Joey knows he is smarter than Lassie and would never have let Timmy fall in the well.
Glad you had a good visit with Sally, I was kinda hoping you would have a photo re-creation with her. It has been too many years since I saw her.
I do believe Joey is a ham. Keep that camera handy for mild depressions.
Joey wanted to add that of course he remembers Sgt. Preston's husky dog's name....King!
Joey wonders if he would like to be a lead sled dog too. Mush! Woof!
I guess we'll have to start planning our trip out this fall! Our usual hotel is about 3x more expensive in November than it usually is in September soooo... Aurora and I in your guest room, it is!
So nice to see Joey again. Yes, he is photogenic in any pose, LOL!
