Milk

Today's photo comes from an article called Milk Products are Essential For Elderly People. I'm sure that's true. But what kind of milk is best? For years, I bought 2% milk so I wouldn't clog up our arteries. Then a couple of weeks ago, Publix was out of our 2% milk so I bought whole milk instead. Robert liked it so much better that we're now on our second carton of whole milk. The question is - should I keep buying it or not?

Here we are re-creating the photo from the article. Yes, we always sit around toasting each other with big glasses of milk!

And here's the original photo. What do you think - is whole milk good or bad? What kind of milk do you like best?

Cute photo. Not sure what the status of milk is today, I prefer beer, LOL! Cheers!

I am not a milk drinker, never have been. Not good I know but there it is.

Scotty drinks non-fat-dry milk, just mixes up the exact amount he needs whenever, loves the convenience, ease of storage etc.

Your drinking glasses are terrific! They have got to be collector items...or perhaps, free with a fill-up? And your attention to detail with your matching necklace/pendant and Robert's watch are perfect. Another great re-creation.

Oh mom, whole milk is for growing cow and human babies. Aurora loves milk, but we buy 1%. Dad would drink coffee creamer if you let him, but I suggest going back to 2%!!! PS: Your hair is getting so long!

Where are your mustaches? Personally I love skim, all the muscle and none of the fat. Once you get used to it, whole milk will make you gag.

That regular milk has made your hair all curly! We do skim/non-fat milk...the kids say the whole milk is gross and warm. I agree with the kids.

Try Smart Balance non fat - it tastes like 2%, but doesn't have the fat. All of that fat is not
healthy, especially when we get older. I'm not a great milk drinker, but I have been buying this for a while - good for your bones. Robert can get used to it.
You keep getting better with your recreations. What's with the long hair - any particular reason???

I get a kick out of reading everyone's comments and, ahem, lectures....nice to have such concerned family and friends.

Your kid's comments are precious.

And Arkansas Patti's request for the Milk Mustache was hilarious. She is right you know, where are those mustaches?.

My nieces call Scotty's non-fat-dry-milk "blue milk" -- apparently to them it has a light blue hue to it -- but drink it willingly when they visit; I think they drink 1% at home.

Keep up the great blog, we in your fan club miss it when it goes too many days without a posting.

Well, among other things, I think your drinking glasses outclass those in the original photo by 10-to-1!!

Also I think if your arteries were going to clog, they would have done so by now. Therefore, GO FOR IT!

(As a life-long skim milk drinker whole milk sure tastes like cream, doesn't it?)

I, too, am a skim milk drinker who LOVES the occasional sip of whole milk and - yikes - real cream in my coffee. Great posts. lately, and your hair is truly fab. How do you get the blogs you follow to show the latest posts with photos? I want that, too!! Thanks...

I can't drink milk. dairy doesn't agree with me......i've been going with alternatives like rice milk, almond milk and sometimes soy.......leafy greens contain a large amount of calcium like red + green kale, collard greens, and red and green chard.

but, let's get our priorities in order, YOUR HAIR LOOKS FABULOUS ! Like Judy Collins........google her.......she is beautiful and so are you.
